Vote YES on Measure PG

A Vote for Public Safety & A Stronger Pomona

An independent audit commissioned by the City forecast that Pomona will likely face an annual operating deficit of up to $10 million over the next couple of years. This at a time when:
  • The Police Department lost 31 sworn police officer positions and staff levels have fallen below the state average
  • There is an average of eight police officers per shift even though the level of violent crime in Pomona far exceeds the US average
  • There are fewer fire trucks available to respond when your family needs them most
  • Drug and gang prevention programs are needed more than ever and homelessness is fast on the rise
  • Our roads are becoming unsafe for drivers and pedestrians – 40% in poor or very poor condition and need repairs

Now is NOT the time to tighten our belt!

On the ballot this fall, Measure PG proposes a three-quarter cent sales tax on local, non-essential purchases.
