Board Members

The Members of the Pomona Police Officers' Association are committed to protecting those who protect. We thank all of those who risk their lives for the city of Pomona.

Jesse Cardenas

President
Detective Jesus “Jesse” Cardenas lateralled to the Pomona Police Department in 2003. He has previously worked Patrol and as a School Resource Officer. He was promoted to Detective in 2019. Det Cardenas currently assigned to Crimes Against Persons investigations. He has previously served the PPOA Board as a Director, PAC Chairman, Vice President, and is on his second term as President.

Kris Guitierrez

Vice President
Corporal Kristian Gutierrez has been a member of the Pomona Police Department since 2005. Corporal Gutierrez is currently assigned to Patrol but has previously worked a variety of assignments, including the Major Crimes Task Force and Vice. He is also a member of the Crisis Negotiation Team. Corporal Gutierrez is the Pomona POA Social Media administrator and enjoys taking photos and editing videos. Prior to serving as the Vice President, he served as the PPOA Secretary in 2018. Corporal Gutierrez has a bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice.

Daniel Pinkosky

Treasurer
Corporal Daniel Pinkosky has been a member of the Pomona Police Department since 2007. Prior to becoming a Pomona police officer he served in the U.S. Marine Corps for 4 year. He has a bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice Management and a master’s degree in Business Administration. Daniel currently is assigned to Patrol. He has been the Treasurer for the PPOA since 2018.

Jason Conley

Director
K-9 Officer Conley began his career law enforcement in 1996 when as a Pomona Police Explorer. He has been a Pomona Police Officer since 2000. He currently serves as a K9 handler and with his partner “Jax” who is the police department's only bloodhound. Officer Conley is also a member of the Crisis Negotiation Team He was elected to the PPOA board in December of 2016.

Tim Dorn

Director
Officer Tim Dorn has been in Law Enforcement since 2013. Officer Dorn was previously assigned to the Mental Health Unit. Officer Dorn's current assignment is patrol. Officer Dorn is also a member of the Crisis Negotiation Team. He was elected to the Pomona Police Officers Association in December of 2016.

Jeff Hayward

Officer Jeff Hayward began his career with the Pomona Police Department in 2006. He previously served as an FTO in Patrol and currently serves in the Quality of Life unit since 2019. He was elected to the position of Secretary in December 2018.

Dan Gomez

Sergeant Dan Gomez began his law enforcement career in 2000. He came to the Pomona Police Department in 2005. He has previously worked Patrol, Major Crimes Task Force (MCTF), Los Angeles Interagency Metropolitan Police Apprehension Crime Task Force (LA IMPACT), and Vice. He is a currently a member of the SWAT team and an assistant Rangemaster. Dan is currently assigned to Patrol. He was elected to the PPOA Board in December 2019.

Matt Childers

Detective Matt Childers began his law enforcement career in 2001. He has been assigned to Patrol, Youth Services Unit (YSU), Motors, and is currently assigned to the Detective Bureau. Detective Childers was elected to the PPOA board in December 2019. He also serves as the PPOA PAC Chairman.

Martin Enriquez

Officer Martin Enriquez began his law enforcement career in 2007. Officer Enriquez lateralled to the Pomona Police Department in 2015. He previously worker Patrol and is currently assigned to the Special Investigations Unit (SIU). Officer Enriquez was elected to the PPOA board in December 2019.
