Mike Sutton
Director
Mike has served the City of Pomona for over five years. While assigned to the Operations Division of the Department, he was appointed as an FTO who was assigned many trainees who ultimately found success through his guidance. His decision making, tactics, in depth investigations as well as his leadership qualities recently led him to being chosen as a member of the Special Investigations Unit.
Though his career is law enforcement based, Mike has retained his EMT certification for over ten years. His passion for medicine and helping others drove him into assisting with Pomona PD’s revamp in their First Aid/CPR program. New tactical medical equipment has now recently been dispersed throughout the patrol fleet. The medical equipment will undoubtedly result in the preservation of life when put into use.
Mike has a desire to improve the community as well as the department. He hopes to accomplish these goals by constantly striving to be better and encouraging others to also improve themselves.
